Facebook advice in the news

FaceCrooks reposted some 2011 advice on how to spot a survey scam -- and maybe more important, some advice at the bottom of the article about how to clean up afterwards if you got taken in!

HackSurfer reports on the 10 most dangerous facebook scams.  This is a good overview of some of the ways the bad guys try to get past your common sense.

We Live Security provides a youtube video on making your social media accounts (almost) unhackable.  (Name three celebrities who wish they'd seen this earlier...)

Facebook isn't the only social media site where the bad guys try to fool you into taking the survey, clicking the link, or handing over your account.  These scams could be easily adapted to other sites as well.  They just happened to be in the news feeds today.  Be skeptical of what you're told on the web!
