FireEye reports that a developer has coded several different applications marketed as anti-hacker and anti-virus for Android.  In fact, all they do is show images and play progress bars that don't actually relate to any progress.

The linked report gives a good summary along with the suspect application names, and then does a deep technical analysis.  For most folks, the takeaway is going to be nothing more than to check those application names and make sure you haven't downloaded one of the apps.
